Percent of locally nesting landbird species that are Increasing, decreasing, or stable on Marin Municipal Water District lands from 1996 to 2019. Point Blue Conservation Science has been tracking long-term trends of landbirds on Marin Municipal Water District Lands on Mount Tamalpais for over 20 years.

Total number of acres actively managed by the Marin County Open Space District (MCOSD).

Contains results of weekly water samples collected at beaches in Marin County, CA. The weekly samples are collected and analyzed for Total Coliform, E. coli, and Enterococcus bacteria. Advisories are posted at a beach when a recreational standard for these indicator organism is exceeded.

Weekly results are published each year starting in April and continuing through October. Sample results in this dataset start with the week of May 29, 2017.

If a sample result is labeled "N/A" it means that no results are available from the beach location that week.

Identification of and treatment information for Japanese Knotweed sites in West Marin County, CA. This work is performed by the Marin Knotweed Action Team (MKAT), in conjunction with the UC Cooperative Extension. Data is collected annually beginning in 2018.

Japanese Knotweed is a fast growing, invasive weed that can be suppressed over multiple successive years of treatment.

MKAT is a coalition of various land managers (comprised of local, state and federal agencies and non-profit organizations) who are dedicated to sustaining the vibrant and resilient Lagunitas Creek and San Geronimo Creek watersheds, specifically the control and long-term eradication of Japanese Knotweed from these areas.

Treatment Details Column Description:
"Not Treated" -The reasons for not treating may vary, it could be due to the owner of the property declining a treatment or a treatment is planned for a future date, or this is a new site that will have a future treatment.

"Monitoring" -This is an area that has been treated in the past but is monitored for future knotweed occurrences.

"Treated in Year" -The area has been treated in the current year

Park land areas in the County of Marin that are under the jurisdictions of: various agencies of the Federal Government, including the National Park Service; various agencies of the State of California, including State Parks; the County of Marin; Cities; Towns; School Districts and other.

Data is obtained from a specific park parcels map on MarinMap.

Percent of historical Northern Spotted Owl sites occupied by pairs each year, as surveyed by the National Park Service and Point Blue Conservation Science.

DMV vehicle registrations in Marin County by fuel type including gasoline, plug-in hybrid, battery electric, etc. Covers two points in time in 2018.

This data is gathered by the Marin Climate and Energy Partnership (MCEP), a group of representatives from all of Marin’s towns and cities, Marin County, Marin Municipal Water District, Marin Clean Energy, and the Transportation Authority of Marin. The purpose of the program is to assist Marin agencies to assess, prioritize and implement greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction and other conservation activities.
