This dataset has been retired as of February 17, 2023. This dataset will be kept for historical purposes, but will no longer be updated. Similar data are available on the state’s open data portal: https://data.chhs.ca.gov/dataset/covid-19-time-series-metrics-by-county-and-state.
Provides the proportion of COVID-19 Cases, Hospitalizations, and Deaths by Age, Gender, and Race/Ethnicity categories.
Note: Between 1/1/2022 and 3/4/2022 hospitalization counts did not include in-patient hospitalizations with a COVID-19 positive test when the patient was in the hospital for a reason other than COVID-19. This included in-patient stays due to labor/delivery, trauma, or emergency surgery. Hospitalization reporting was modified to represent the disease severity of the Omicron variant accurately. As of 3/5/2022, we have resumed publishing the CDPH daily hospitalized patient census, which includes all in-patient hospitalizations with a COVID-19 positive test.

This dataset provides the daily & cumulative number of COVID-19 new confirmed cases, hospitalizations, and deaths among Marin County residents (does not include San Quentin inmates). Event Date corresponds to date that each status type occurred. For Confirmed Case this is Test Date, for Hospitalized this is Hospital Admit Date, and for Death it is the Date of Death. If a person first tested positive for COVID-19 on 11/1/2020, was admitted to the hospital on 11/15/2020, and died on 11/20/2020, their data would be contained in three rows for each status and event date. Note: as of 11/2/2021 hospitalization counts no longer includes in-patient hospitalizations with a COVID-19 positive test when the patient was in the hospital for a reason other than COVID-19. This can include in-patient stays due to labor/delivery, trauma, or emergency surgery. The previous definition of COVID-19 hospitalizations, counting all in-patient hospitalizations with a COVID-19 positive test, measured the burden of disease on hospital resources, while this updated definition is a more appropriate measure of disease severity among Marin County residents.

Cases are lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases reported to Marin County Public Health by providers, commercial laboratories, and academic laboratories, including reporting results through the California Reportable Disease Information Exchange. A lab-confirmed case is defined as detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in a clinical specimen using a molecular amplification detection test. This dataset has been temporarily removed as of April 3, 2023. This dataset is still being maintained internally and will be restored after internal processes undergo a transition. Similar data are available from CDPH: https://calcat.covid19.ca.gov/cacovidmodels/.
This dataset displays SARS-CoV-2 lineages identified through whole genome sequencing (WGS) in Marin County by date the sample was collected. There is a minimum 7-day (and up to 21-day) lag in reporting. Not all positive samples in Marin County are sequenced, thus these data may not fully represent the variants circulating in the community. Summarized data can be found in the "Prevalence of Variants of SARS-CoV-2 in Marin County" chart at https://coronavirus.marinhhs.org/surveillance.
More information about variants of SARS-CoV-2 can be found via the CDC at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/variants/variant-info.html

This data set provides the number of COVID-19 tests per day performed among Marin county residents and the percent positivity of those tests. The data comes from testing results reported to the California Department of Public health (CDPH). This is the same data used to calculate the county-level testing rate for the State Blueprint Metrics. Testing volume for the last two weeks is provisional and subject to change due to the lag in testing reporting.
Note: CDPH calculates Percent Positivity using a 7-day lag (on November 17 the most recent calculated date will be November 10), with a 7-day window (sum of all positive tests in prior 7 days divided by the sum of all tests in the prior 7 days).

Emergency Medical Service ambulance dispatch incidents in Marin County, CA, for the period beginning March, 2013 through September, 2019. Data is updated every three to six months. Data includes time stamps of events for each dispatch, nature of injury, and location of injury. Data also includes geocoding of most incident locations, however, specific street address locations are "obfuscated" and are generally shown within a block and are not, therefore, exact locations. Geocoding results are also based on the quality of the address information provided, and should therefore not be considered 100% accurate.
Some of the data may be interpreted incorrectly without adequate knowledge of the clinical context. Please contact EMS@marincounty.org if you have any questions about the interpretation of fields in this dataset.
