County of Marin Business License Tax Marin County Ordinance 3042 was enacted by the Marin County Board of Supervisors in Fiscal Year 1991-92. The ordinance requires that every person engaging in business within the unincorporated area of the County must register for a business license and renew their business license annually by June 30th. In 2018, an online portal was introduced to the public to register and renew business license online.
