Security Awareness
Cultivate a security awareness culture within the
County to improve County employees' understanding of their role in protecting
public information and responding to security incidents.
Marin County IST is pursuing the following action items in support of this Security Awareness objective:
Raising Awareness
To provide education on
cybersecurity best practices to all County employees, the Information Security
Team will refresh the online Information Security and Privacy Training and
measure compliance annually for all County departments by the end of each year.
Trust and Verify
To test the effectiveness of our security awareness program with County employees, the Information Security Team will continue to conduct e-mail mock phishing campaigns across all County departments and report on results at least quarterly.
