Department of Finance (DOF) is committed to enhancing transparency with taxpayers within the County of Marin. DOF's objective is to improve and strengthen internal and external communication and increase engagement. DOF plans to publish annual financial reports specifically designed to be easily understandable to the general public and other interested parties.
Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is the audited financial statement for the County’s prior fiscal year. It is designed to fairly present the financial position as well as changes in the financial position of the County.
Every year the Treasurer-Controller releases the report for the prior fiscal year ending June 30. The document is prepared in accordance with Sections 25250 and 25253 of the Government Code of the State of California.
The County of Marin has consistently received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Officer's Achievement.
The Department of Finance has prepared a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report that contains significant expanded reporting and disclosure.
